Circle of Meaning ~ CoM

Encouraging people around the world to come together and share things that are meaningful for them is the main aim of this space.

Inspired by the work of our friends at PeerSpirit, we decided to use their ‘Calling the Circle’ gift as the guide for this enabled space. As they well put it in the guide, “what transforms a meeting into a circle is the willingness of people to shift from informal socializing or opinionated discussion into a receptive attitude of thoughtful speaking and deep listening.

So, here is what you gotta do:

  1. Download the PeerSpirit guide for ‘Calling the Circle’ (English, German, Spanish, French) and read it carefully.
  2. Define the ‘intention’ of the circle, that that is meaningful to you that you want to share and converse with others.
  3. Define the location (your house, a park, etc) and design the space (make sure there are details that scream out loud ‘Welcome, this is YOUR place to BE’).
  4. Draft a beautiful invitation and send it to the people you want to see in the circle.
  5. Host the circle by following the guidelines offered by PeerSpirit. Make sure you start by making an introduction of the ‘intention’ of the circle and present your peers with the guidelines so that everyone gets to know the rules of the exercise.
  6. Harvest the circle findings with pictures, images, video, etc. (be creative).
  7. Share with us your harvest, we will be more than pleased to share it in our website!

We run this exercise four times a year and share in our website all the harvests we receive. During the time we encourage people to host the circle, we also offer online support for any doubts hosts may have.
